New Zealand made Tonka trucks are very difficult to find, in part because the quantities produced were many times less than what was rolling off the assembly lines in Mound. It should also be noted that Tonka trucks made New Zealand, and for that matter, Canada, do not necessarily match their U.S.A. counterparts. Mound would ship excess and or obsolete parts and an interesting variation would be produced.

9 Mini Tonka models were available. They included model #1050 Pickup, model #1060 Dump, model #1076 Grader, model #1077 Cement Mixer, model #1068 Wrecker, model #1090 Livestock Van, model #1096 Car Carrier, model #1110 Contractor Set and model #1156 Volkswagen.
And 5 Mighty Tonka series models were also offered. Included were the model #3900 Dump, model #3940 Mighty Mobile Crane, model #2935 Mighty Scraper, model #3920 Mighty Loader and model #3990 Mighty Car Carrier.
